Inspired by the sheer and unadulterated beauty that is found in the Baltic Sea, Baltic Watches are beautiful traditional watches that incorporate a modern flair. These timepieces come from a family of watch connoisseurs who are in love with the design and manufacturing of traditional timepieces. Baltic Watches understands that in order to create a truly timeless modern watch, details are not something that should be focused on, letting minimalism lead the way. Other contemporary watch companies seem to focus on these aspects, defeating the purpose, and that is where Baltic Watches comes in.
Taking away the complexity of watches, Baltic Watches instead puts their focus on vintage watchmaking styles that possess vintage flair. Handcrafted in France, each of their watches takes inspiration from the 1940s style of watches that feature ridged edges and mechanical movements.
The striking Baltic Watches feature a comfortable 38-millimeter case made from durable 316L stainless steel. An equally as durable high-domed Hesalite glass covers the dial inside which highlights a leaf design three-hand movement to display the time. These watches have 50 ATM water resistance and feature one of two types of movements: a Manual Wind Caliber Seagull STI901 movement or an Automatic Miyota 821A movement. You can also enjoy either simple genuine calf leather or genuine Italian calf leather.
As of the time of writing, Baltic Watches are being funded on the crowdfunding website, Kickstarter. Currently, Baltic Watches have reached their goal of $70,907, raising a total of $459,290 with 19 days remaining in their fundraiser. For a minimum pledge of $299, you can receive one of their striking timepieces when the campaign is complete, which is tentatively scheduled for November of 2017.
