Passionate about creating timepieces that capture the true spirit of a sports watch with all of the elegance of a modern timepiece, Louis Erard has created the La Sportive collection, a collection consisting of watches that put emphasis on elegance, exclusivity, precision, reliability, and readability. These timepieces show the knowledgeable approach and watchmaking excellence that this independent watch company has been showcasing since 1929, all wrapped up in a modern sports watch that you’ll be proud to wear.

The Louis Erard La Sportive collection is characterized by a number of physical properties with the case being available both in bronze and grade 5 titanium. Grade 5 titanium is commonly used in demanding fields like aeronautics, sports, and medicine, thanks to its ability to resist almost any kind of damage. Both materials are known for various, yet equally durable features, such as the resistance to wear and tear and the ability to take on a gorgeous patina over time.

No matter which version of the Louis Erard La Sportive timepiece you choose, you can have peace of mind over its long-lasting nature, as the watch case is layered with a premium, extra-domed sapphire glass that protects it from nicks and scratches. The watch also features an evenly applied anti-reflective coating that makes the time displayed on the handsome dial easier to see even in bright sunlight. Each one of the timepieces in the collection comes standard with an insert bezel that has a tachymeter fashioned out of scratch- and fade-resistant black ceramic that not only adds to its durability but also matches the black hour, minute and second counters.

The back of the timepiece also brings a unique feature to the table with its exhibition design that allows you to see the movement and various aspects of the functionality of the watch at work, including the self-winding mechanism. The back sits behind strong metal that won’t allow the inner workings to take on any damage. The timekeeping method of the Louis Erard La Sportive is the Valjoux 7750 caliber movement, one of the most highly regarded and accurate movements available in traditional Swiss chronographs.

In an effort to reinforce the modern character of this timepiece is the space that rests between the lugs that is slightly enlarged. The strap itself also speaks to the elegance of these timepieces, fashioned out of vintage calfskin leather, a leather that is known for its particularly soft and comfortable feel that won’t irritate the skin. The clasp of the watch buckle is crafted out of strong titanium that folds up neatly and is topped off with a high-quality clasp that boasts a design that eliminates the need for the leather strap to be punctured and thereby keeps the strap looking its best.

The Louis Erard La Sportive watch collection is available on their website, the prices varying between CHF 2,950 for the bronze version of the timepiece and CHF 3,250 for the version crafted out of grade 5 titanium.
