MICROMILSPEC is proud to present the made-to-order (1/1) timepiece created for, and in collaboration with Erling Haaland. The Norwegian footballer is considered one of the sport’s most exciting players, and has already established himself as a record breaking striker in both the German Bundesliga and UEFA Champions Leagues. In November 2020, Haaland won the prestigious “Golden Boy” award for 2020, given to a young footballer playing in Europe perceived to have been the most impressiveduring a calendar year.
The watch is a personal watch designed to reflect Haaland’s uncompromising performance and achievements on the pitch. The dial is adorned with a hydraulically pressed truncated icosahedron – an advanced geometric shape reminiscent of a football. Within the pattern are several unique and distinctive details. A silhouette of Haaland’s signature “lotus” goal celebration is placed at 6 o’clock. The hand of the 30-minute counter is shaped as Haaland’s shirt number “9”. Both the counter hand and the small seconds hand are colored in Borussia Dortmund yellow. Surrounding the dial is a rehaut engraved with dates referencingpersonal milestones.
The case is based on MICROMILSPEC’s signature octagonal shape, executed in strong and lightweight forged carbon. Seamlessly integrated in the case are two chronograph pushers, while the protected screw down crown is decorated with the Borussia Dortmund logo. Turning the watch around reveals a detailed view of Haaland in his signature celebratory pose on the caseback.
MICROMILSPEC x HAALAND is powered by a self-winding movement by Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier. The calibre is manufactured entirely in-house by Vaucher – a supplier of fine movements to brands such as Parmigiani Fleurier, Hermès, Richard Mille and Audemars Piguet. VMF 3022/12 features a free sprung balance wheel and a power reserve of ~42 hours. While hidden by the stainless steel caseback, the movement is elaborately finished with circular grained mainplate, bridges with radial Geneva stripes, and satin finished skeletonized rotor.
